The program focused specifically on unearthing athletes over 6’3’’ that had the potential to represnt the Handball, Volleyball and Rowing teams at London 2012 for Team GB.

Although he had never played the sport before 2007, Bobby’s progress was exponential and after two years at the Great Britain Handball Academy based in Denmark, he went to on to play professionally for clubs in Greece and France.

Bobby Captained Team GB Handball at London 2012, the first time Great Britain had entered a Handball Team at an Olympics. Despite not reaching the podium, the main goal was to introduce the British public to this fantastic sport and build a lasting legacy which will see Team GB continue to challenge the best Handball teams in the world in future Olympic Games.
